ABR offers a Native Bee rescue service and a hive splitting service.
Fallen trees containing the local Social Bee Species Tetragonula carbonaria often need to be rescued. The colony is removed and placed into a specially made hive. These bees are important pollinators and are stingless.
ABR builds hives made from 35 mm thick Cypress Pine. These are long lasting and offer good thermal insulation for the colony.
